6th Grade Art6th grade Scholars are creating an artwork using one continuous line based on a Physical Map.
The concepts of color, line, pattern and movement will be introduced, along with techniques on how to apply the concepts to the artwork. 8th Grade Art8th grade Scholars are creating a still life drawing based on object arrangements set up in class. The drawing will be divided into 24 squares; each square will be painted using watercolor paint. Each square will be painted using a different color combination as the previous one. One color must be carried over from square to square.
Scholars will take into account lighting, value, color, and drawing style: contour lines, shape, and form. |
7th Grade Art7th grade Scholars are creating understanding, personal connection, and acceptance internally through their art. They are consider a personal event that was either recent or in the past that has caused them to question their identity, who they are as a person.
Scholars must create this event visually using varied types of art supplies. Scholars are creating a set of 4 drawings. Additional Art ExperiencesPhotography Elective
6th, 7th, & 8th grade scholars learning digital camera basics. They care taking part in different types of photo shoots, such as: black light & splatter paint! They will continue to learn how to take different types of pictures with multiple types of subjects. Scholars will also learn photo editing and printing techniques. Art Journaling 8th grade scholars are creating an Art Journal! The Art Journal is a semester long project that includes visual and literary arts.
